Zakrzewski was killed in Ukraine while travelling in a car in the attack outside Kyiv which injured correspondent Benjamin Hall.
According to the Ukrainian website kp.ua, Zakrzewski was killed as a consequence of artillery firing by Russian soldiers in the north-eastern area of Gorenka.
